The uMngeni Unemployed Graduates Forum has successfully concluded its Entrepreneurship Development Programme, delivered in partnership with the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) and Nedbank.
The programme equipped unemployed graduates with practical life and business skills aimed at improving their employability and entrepreneurial potential. Training covered communication, goal setting, interview preparation, financial literacy, marketing, business management and strategic business planning.
Participants also received guidance on applying for NYDA Youth Grant funding, while Nedbank provided occupational and enterprise development support to help aspiring entrepreneurs prepare for the business environment.
The programme concluded with participants receiving certificates from both the NYDA and Nedbank, recognising the successful completion of their training and marking an important milestone in their professional development.

Youth unemployment remains one of South Africa's greatest socio-economic challenges. Initiatives such as this highlight the importance of partnerships between government institutions, the private sector and community organisations in equipping young people with practical skills and opening pathways to economic participation.
